HAPPY CHOCOLATES is an artisan chocolate boutique with operations in Los Angeles, California and Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Happy Chocolates specializes in handmade chocolates created by author, owner, pastry chef and chocolatier Susie Norris. Susie takes great pride in creating Happy Chocolates which are organic, sustainably produced and are affiliated with CHOCOLATE ALL THE TIME, a guide to the world's great chocolate. Susie uses local ingredients whenever possible, supporting area artisans and farmers.
HAPPY CHOCOLATES, was featured on Food Network, in More Magazine and The New York Times Magazine and Susie has had articles published in numerous publications. She served as Associate Chef/Instructor at California School of Culinary Arts (Le Cordon Bleu Program) and her first book, Chocolate Bliss, will be released by Ten Speed Press November 2009.
Prior to her work in the food business, Susie was Vice President of Series Television at Disney and held similar positions at Nickelodeon, CBS, NBC and Turner Network Television. She has a B.A. degree in English Literature from Boston College and a Certificate in Professional Baking from Epicurean School of Culinary Arts. She also produces television programming with her husband, TV writer Jacob Epstein, and divides her time between Los Angeles and the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
